Academic Excellence
Our commitment to academic excellence...
Bethel Christian Academy is founded upon the fact that the “chief part of knowledge (and wisdom) is the fear of Jehovah.” (Proverbs 1:7) It is dedicated to presenting every subject in the light of the reality of God and the revelation of Himself to man in the Word of God, the Bible, and to specific teachings of the Bible. The staff is composed of Christians who are dedicated to serving God and youth.
BCA strives to challenge each student to reach their maximum potential. Using both ACE and ABEKA book curricula, BCA is able to develop an individualized plan for each child that matches their specific needs and interests. Student are also taught how to set academic goals and how to reach those goals–an important component of a successful individual.
Standardized Testing
Our testing philosophy and requirements...
Our testing is designed to help answer three questions:
- What kind of work is the student capable of doing?
- How far has he/she advanced in the learning process?
- How well do our teachers teach?
In order to accurately gather this information, BCA uses a standardized test for grades K-11. BCA offers the Stanford test, which is used by many private and Christian schools. Each student is tested annually in the spring. Test results are helpful in guiding the student’s progress as he/she goes through school and begins to plan for college.
ALL SENIORS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE ACT, SAT or the Stanford Test.
